Lean Six Sigma Software and Training (March 18, 2010)

As we grow, we aim to develop a culture at 3D Machine, Inc. that fosters continuos improvement. After successfully completing lean manufacturing training through Purdue University, we have continued to develop the skills of our employees by implementing Lean Six Sigma. With the help of Dbar-Innovations and their Lean Six Sigma software we are improving processes and cutting costs daily.

New ERP System: Epicor 9 (May 1, 2009)

In an effort to increase visibility and streamline all business activities, 3D Machine Inc. is currently implementing a new ERP System. Epicor 9 will help in our goal to become a paperless shop, and successfull implementation is set to be complete in Fall of 09'. Some of the features of the software include:

• Real time reporting
• Increased revision control
• CRM
• Advanced Quality Module
• Vendor Management
• Advanced Scheduling

3D Machine Inc. Intranet (April 21, 2009)

By utilizing the tools of Microsoft Sharepoint, we can easily track information in production meetings and monitor our progress on various improvement projects. This allows a constant source of information flow from the shop floor to the front office. It not only provides an avenue for that information to be organized, but drastically improves the efficiency of that communication process.

Lean Manufacturing Training (March 9, 2009)

We are currently working with Purdue University’s Technical Assistance Program to further our education in Lean Manufacturing. We believe that the principles of Lean Manufacturing are the foundation of global competitiveness. Our training program ensures that all employees at 3D Machine will have the minimum of an Advance Manufacturing Overview Certificate.

Design-2-Part Trade Shows (December 10, 2009)

In order to continually diversify and grow as a business, we have made the decision to exhibit at several Design-2-Part tradeshows. Our partnership with D2P has yielded great results as we continue to grow our business. So far, 3D has exhibited in Greenville, SC Grapevine, TX and Schaumburg, IL.
